Introduction to Short Film

A short film is generally a film under 30 minutes in length. Some short films happen to be even shorter and are under 10 minutes in length, these are referred to as micro-shorts. In short films, the plot unravels a lot quicker than in feature length films, because of the length aspect. However, sometimes there isn't any plot to unravel and the film is just abstracts. This is because short films don't have to adhere to codes and conventions of normal films. They don't even have to stick to one genre, or any genre at all for that matter.
